Healthy Foods Holiday Challenge and VolunteerFest Logos

Thank you to our dedicated and generous community of supporters for making this year's Healthy Foods Holiday Challenge a success! With your help, WSCAH provided 11,000 distributions of turkeys, pork shoulders, and healthy groceries for the holiday season this November.

We’re not done yet! Holiday distributions will continue into December, as supplies last, and we expect to serve more than 13,000 families by the end of the holiday season.

Your Impact

With food insecurity in NYC at all-time highs, our goal is to raise $300,000. This will allow WSCAH to provide a turkey, pork shoulder (pernil), or voucher (for vegans & vegetarians) to 12,000 food insecure families this November. With your help, we can reach this milestone and make this holiday season memorable for every WSCAH customer.

A donation of just $25 covers our cost of a turkey, pork shoulder, or vegetarian option for one NYC family in need. A donation $75 provides a family that same turkey, pork shoulder or vegetarian option and healthy groceries containing 50% fresh produce for their holiday meals.

Community Coalition members play a vital role in spreading the word about the Healthy Foods Holiday Challenge and helping us ensure healthy food access for all our customers this holiday season. This year, we have two ways for local organizations to get involved.

Fundraising Partners commit to raising funds to support the Healthy Foods Holiday Challenge. All Fundraising Partners who set a goal of at least $1,000 will unlock shifts for VolunteerFest 2025! Click here to start fundraising.

Community Connectors commit to getting out the word and encouraging engagement in their community with the issue of holiday hunger.

All Community Coalition members get special access to educational and hands-on engagement activities, including site visits, staff presentations, card writing, and more.
